The majority of the grant has been used to buy a set of Steel Pans. Mr Kendall will notify you when the instruments arrive and will be inviting parents and members of the community to form a band called The Sandy Beeches Parents' and Community Steel Band. No musical experience is necessary. Once the pans arrive, Mr Kendall will be hosting taster sessions and concerts in order to drum up interest!! Please contact him for more information.
The Friends of The Beeches has organised a number of fundraising events so far this year. The latest was a very successful Easter Fun day. Over 200 parents came into school to make an Easter craft with their child. Why not have a look at some of the pictures in the gallery? The money raised from this event will be used to purchase a parents notice board for the playground. The Friends of the Beeches are always looking for new members. Look out for the next meeting dates on the school newsletters.
